The recipient of a bachelor's degree in English and business administration from the University of South Carolina, Caleb Fort is an experienced executive who began his career as principal at DuBard, Inc., which distributed products for Anheuser-Busch. He served three years in this capacity before joining The Merit Group as co-chairman. During more than two decades in this role, Caleb Fort identified strategic growth and acquisition opportunities and managed banking relationships.

Since 2014, Caleb Fort has presided over QMX Mobile Health, a Winston-Salem, North Carolina-based company that provides on-site X-ray, ultrasound, and diagnostics for nursing homes and assisted living facilities throughout the state. Other services offered by the company include home sleep studies, bone density scans, and mobile endoscopies.

In addition to his professional endeavors, Mr. Fort has volunteered for or held board positions with a range of charitable, educational, and civic organizations. These include the Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System, the Spartanburg County Foundation, The United Way of Piedmont, and the South Carolina Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Fort also serves as past president on the board of the SC Governors School of Science and Math Foundation.
